Q: Where is JISP located?
   
A: JISP is located on Main Street in Stockton.  We are directly across from Hartig Drug.
   
Q: What are JISP hours of operation?
   
A: JISP is open from the hour of 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday thru Friday and 8:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday.

Q: What Anti-Virus do you recommend?
   
A: AVG by Grisoft. AVG provides excellent virus protect and performance coupled with fast and easy installation.
   
Q: What is wrong with Norton, McAfee or Trendmicro?

Norton & McAfee Has a tendency to slow down the computer.
Can be difficult to install and remove.
Trendmicro Incompatible with some anti-spyware software.
   
Q: My computer is slow does that mean I have a Virus?
   
A: No, over time computers can become slower.  The main reason for this is that newer programs require more resources and files that accumulate over time.  If the slowness is severe it could be a sign that something is wrong with your computer.  For possible solutions you can contact us or bring the computer in.
   
Q: Is there anything I can do to keep myself safe from Spyware?
   
A: The best way to stay safe is to use safe browsing tactics, such as avoiding sites that you have doubts about.  Other measure that can help is to keep Internet Explorer up-to-date or use an alternative browser like Mozilla Firefox.
   
Q: What is Phishing?
   
A: Phishing is a form of Internet fraud that aims to steal valuable information such as credit cards, social security numbers, user IDs and passwords.  Most phishing attempts come in the form of emails that want you to verify your username and password.
   
Q: What can I do to avoid being a victim of Phishing?
   
A: Never enter your information on a page that was linked to you in an email.  If the email wants you to logon to there site, your best solution is to visits there site by typing the address of the site in yourself.  Remember that sites like Ebay, Paypal, MSN, Yahoo, JISP, or your bank will never email you asking for you to update your information with them.
