Windows 95, 98, and 2000
Step 1: Open up the Control Panel. Do this by going to Start >> Settings >> Control Panel.
Step 2: Open up the Internet Properties Dialog. This is possibly labeled different on some machine. Most machines will have 'Internet Settings' or 'Internet Options', though it could be labeled something else with 'Internet' in it.
Step 3: Go over to the 'Connections' tab and hit the 'Setup' button. This will start the Internet Connection Wizard.
Step 4: Under the 'General' tab you will see a box labeled 'Address' where you can set your home page. We recommend setting that to our homepage at 'http://www.jisp.net' so that you can keep aprised of everything happening with us and also keep track of your account and such. Then go over to the 'Connections' tab and hit the 'Setup' button. This will start the Internet Connection Wizard.
Step 5: Choose 'I want to setup my Internet connection manually' and then hit 'Next'.
Step 6: Choose 'I connect through a phone line and a modem' and then hit 'Next'.
Step 7: Insert the telephone number '947-2937' and enter 815 for the area code. Then hit 'Next'.
Step 8: Next enter your username and password that you gave us when you signed up with us. Then hit 'Next'.
Step 9: The next screen will ask for Connection name. Type 'JISP Internet' in the space provided. Hit 'Next'.
Step 10: Lastly it will ask you 'Do you want to set up an Internet mail account now?'. Select 'No' and hit 'Next' and then 'Finish'

Step 5: Hit 'Next'. Select 'Connect to the Internet' and hit 'Next'.
Step 6: Select 'Set up my connection manually' and hit 'Next'.
Step 7: Select 'Connect using a dial-up modem' and hit 'Next'.
Step 8: Type 'JISP Internet' in the ISP Name box and hit 'Next'.
Step 9: Type '815-947-2937' in the Phone number box and hit 'Next'.
Step 10: Next enter your username and password that you gave us when you signed up with us. All three of the checkboxes should be selected also. Then hit 'Next'.
Step 11: Lastly you can add a shortcut to the dialup on the desktop if you wish by selecting the 'Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop', but it is not nessacery as all internet programs will start up the dialup whenever any connection to the web is needed. Then hit 'Finish'
Note: One last small note for XP users. Many XP users have had to retype their password before they could get in. This shouldn't happen every time you bring up the dialup, but it does happen so be aware of it. This seems to just be some kind of XP issue that Microsoft has yet to iron out.
